1. Purpose

Khora Consulting uses artificial intelligence (AI) tools in a limited and responsible manner to support research, drafting, structuring and internal analysis.

AI tools are used as assistive tools only and do not replace professional judgement, confidentiality obligations, or internal review processes.

This policy should be read alongside Khora Consulting’s Privacy Policy.

2. Scope of AI use

Khora Consulting may use generative AI tools to:

• structure and refine draft text,

• improve clarity, tone and readability,

• summarise publicly available information,

• support internal ideation and scenario thinking,

• assist with general sustainability and regulatory analysis.

All AI-generated outputs are reviewed, edited and approved by a Khora consultant before any external use.

3. Client confidentiality and data protection

Khora Consulting does not input the following into general-purpose AI tools:

• client names or identifiable client information,

• confidential or unpublished client materials,

• internal documents, correspondence or financial data,

• information subject to NDAs or contractual confidentiality obligations,

• personal data, unless fully anonymised.

Where contextual information is required, it is abstracted or anonymised (for example, sector-level or hypothetical references).

AI tools are not used to store, retain or process client data.

4. Relationship to the Privacy Policy

Khora Consulting remains the data controller for any personal data processed in the course of providing services.

The use of AI tools does not change:

• the lawful basis for processing personal data,

• the purpose for which data is collected,

• Khora’s obligations under UK GDPR.

No personal data is used to train, fine-tune or improve AI models on Khora’s behalf.

5. Accuracy and accountability

AI-generated outputs may contain errors or incomplete information.

• AI outputs are not treated as factual sources.

• All content is independently reviewed by a Khora consultant.

• Khora Consulting remains fully responsible for the accuracy, quality and integrity of all advice, communications and deliverables.

6. Transparency

If requested by clients or partners, Khora Consulting will explain that AI tools may be used in a limited, assistive capacity, comparable to advanced editorial or research tools, without compromising confidentiality or data protection obligations.

7. Governance and review

This policy applies to all Khora Consulting staff and associates.

It will be reviewed periodically and updated if legal, regulatory or operational practices change.
Where there is uncertainty, the default position is not to use AI for the task in question.
